Meet Randy

Randy was born in Axtell, KS on Feb. 27, 1951 and spent his childhood years on the family farm south of Berwick, KS. He has an older sister, Bonnie, and a younger brother, Douglas. Randy attended Sabetha schools and graduated in 1969 from Sabetha High School. In September of that year he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Navy in 1989.

After his naval career he remained in the Great Lakes area and taught electronics and gun school for the Navy. During that time he was selected as Instructor of the Quarter and instructor of the year for the naval gun school. In August 1995, he moved back to Sabetha.

He has three children, Brandi Argabright who is a nurse at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, her twin brother Scott who installs and troubleshoots packaging equipment for a company based in Nevada, and Jeremiah who teaches journalism at Salina Central High School.

He and his wife Kay were married on January 1, 1998. She has two daughters, Amy White who is a nurse at St Lukes in Kansas City and Kimberly Aberle who at present is tasked with caring for two active little ones. Kay and Randy have twelve grandchildren.

Since returning to Sabetha, Randy has worked on the family farm, at Mac equipment as plant maintenance man, and presently works part time at Edelmans Inc doing construction work and heating and cooling system installations. He was elected to the Kansas House in 2010 and has enjoyed representing the citizens of the 62nd district the last four years.
